背景と目的
Utsunomiya City created the “Utsunomiya City DX Realization Task.” This task aims to boost digital transformation (DX) in the local community. It focuses on advancing digitalization in administration.
In 2024, the city ran a test. They used the “BtoB Platform Invoice” to check how digitizing about 5,000 paper invoices each month could help. The results showed that the system can help go paperless. It can also lower costs for businesses working with the city and boost efficiency for city workers.
Utsunomiya City is adopting the “BtoB Platform Invoice.” This move comes as electronic transactions grow, thanks to changes in the Electronic Bookkeeping Act and other regulations. The goal is to simplify processes related to invoices.

The electronic invoice system will work smoothly with Fujitsu Japan’s “IPKNOWLEDGE Financial Information” system. This will create a fully digital process from receiving invoices to approval and review. This integration is expected to minimize data entry errors, reduce the manual workload, and further streamline financial accounting processes within the city.
