Space Data Corporation and Meisei Electric Co., Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding for business co-creation utilizing Meisei Electric’s ultra-high density meteorological observation and information provision service, “POTEKA.” This collaboration will utilize Meisei Electric’s POTEKA data for space data digital twins, and will consider new services and business models through the construction and utilization of a demonstration version. With a view to future commercialization from the research and development stage, the two companies aim to create new solutions by combining meteorological and space technologies.
This collaboration aims to realize weather forecasting and analysis services with unprecedented accuracy and scope by combining Space Data’s satellite observation data and AI-generated digital twin technology with the technological superiority of Meisei Electric’s ultra-high density weather observation and information provision service “POTEKA.” Both companies will bring together their extensive experience and technical strengths in their respective fields of expertise to create a new market in the field of meteorology and space technology.
