Digital Arts Inc., a leader in information security, has enhanced its IDaaS product, “StartIn.” It will launch a new proxy authentication feature in March 2025. This aims to streamline ID management and authentication for organizations using a mix of on-premise and cloud systems, including those incompatible with SAML.

このようなハイブリッド・セットアップにおける注目すべき課題は、多くのオンプレミスおよびプロプライエタリ・システムが、SSOを可能にするために広く使用されている標準であるSAMLをサポートしていないことです。したがって、ユーザはIDとパスワードを別々に管理しなければなりません。これは利便性を低下させ、複雑さを増大させます。

To address this, Digital Arts is adding a proxy authentication feature to “StartIn.” It will enable seamless SSO across all web services, regardless of SAML compatibility.

プロキシ認証機能の主な特徴

Previously, “StartIn” supported SSO only for SAML-compatible services. With the new proxy authentication feature, users can enjoy SSO for all web-based services, including those with login forms displayed in browsers.

The product also includes Digital Arts’ unique multi-factor authentication options, such as:

位置認証: Verifies the user’s GPS-based location.

第三者認証:認証要素として、上司やその他の第三者を追加します。

定期認証:定期的に本人確認を行います。

Additionally, “StartIn” now incorporates advanced passwordless authentication methods, such as client certificate and passkey authentication, to combat man-in-the-middle attacks. These features enhance both usability and security in mixed on-premise and cloud environments.
