Hakuhodo Inc. has announced the development of a new service prototype called “Virtual Salesperson,” leveraging generative AI to enhance consumer communication, including customer service and interactive dialogue, to create more personalized customer experiences.
Traditionally, AI-driven customer service has been characterized by interactions with generic avatars offering limited engagement. However, this new service harnesses Hakuhodo’s “Virtual Living”*1 expertise to create a range of virtual salespeople that reflect the diverse personalities and traits of real salespeople. As a result, the virtual salespeople can engage with customers in a way that aligns with their specific needs and preferences. Furthermore, real salespeople can be transformed into virtual avatars to assist customers online. After the virtual chat ends, customers are smoothly directed to a physical store. Their online conversation history goes to the real salesperson, so they get more personalized help.
