Fujitsu Limited and Nutanix have completed verification of “Takane,” Fujitsu’s enterprise-grade LLM (large-scale language model) with world-class Japanese language capabilities, on Nutanix’s platform “Nutanix Enterprise AI,” which supports the deployment of a wide range of generative AI models on-premise or on the public cloud, and “Nutanix Cloud Platform,” a solution for building hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure. Customers will be able to use “Takane” as a certified LLM from April 16, 2025. “Takane” will be the first Japanese-specific LLM to support “NAI.”
Takane installed on the NAI will be provided through FSAS Technologies Inc. ‘s integrated virtualization platform PRIMEFLEX for Nutanix . It will help build high – quality, highly reliable infrastructure in business areas where data cannot be sent to public clouds, or where compliance with legal regulations and industry rules is required.
As the use and application area of generative AI expands in the domestic market, there are cases where the general-purpose LLM previously provided through “NAI” has issues with the output accuracy of documents written in Japanese-specific expressions such as the mixture of character types, omission of subjects, and honorific language.In addition, there is a need to flexibly use different environments, such as using a public cloud for development and on-premise or edge for production environments from the perspective of data confidentiality, industry rules, and latency, and there is also a growing need to migrate and integrate applications and data across multiple environments.
