プライムナンバー Inc. will revamp “COMETA” as an “AI data platform” and will launch new solutions “bulk metadata generation” and “personal information detection” on June 23rd. It will also release the official version of “Interactive AI Assist”, which had been offered as a beta version.
Generative AI has made remarkable progress in recent years, and various organizations, from large technology companies to small and medium-sized enterprises, are introducing generative AI, regardless of their size. However, to properly utilize data using generative AI, the quality of the data on which the AI output is based is important, and “data quality” is also cited as a factor in whether the effects of introducing generative AI exceed or fall short of expectations.
Since AI cannot automatically understand the background and context of data like humans can, in an environment where the meaning and definition (metadata) of the data that AI learns and references is not well-established, AI may give irrelevant answers or perform incorrect analysis. This problem of “data that AI cannot understand” has been pointed out as the root cause of many projects stalling, and according to Gartner, by 2026, 60% of AI projects will be suspended or abandoned due to a lack of AI-Ready data.
