Lightworks Inc., developer and provider of “CAREERSHIP,” the cloud-based learning management system (LMS) with the largest sales share in the market, and e-learning content, is releasing a new service, “Learning Hub for Security,” to address modern society’s challenges in information security education. In partnership with Internet Initiative Japan Inc., which holds a large share of various security services, this service provides content incorporating IIJ’s latest knowledge and expertise, further strengthening organizations’ information security measures.

The “Top 10 Information Security Threats 2025 [Organizations]” published by the Information-Technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) also suggests that employee education is effective against many information security threats. With this in mind, Lightworks has developed “Learning Hub for Security,” an information security education service that uses a “distributed learning method” to frequently study microcontent to promote knowledge and awareness while identifying organizations that are not making progress in their learning. The core of this service is the educational micro-content “Security Anchor,” which is a three-minute video tutorial covering the latest trends, produced in cooperation with アイアイジェイ. By repeatedly conveying comprehensive and realistic information in a short span of time, the aim is not simply to grasp the “tactics of deception,” but to raise a deep awareness of the fact that “everyone is a target.” This will build a “security anchor” within employees that will not be shaken by attacks of various methods.

Employees who are required to take the course will automatically receive an email each time the content is updated, and participants can smoothly take the course by clicking on the URL and going to a dedicated website. This reduces the burden on training staff while encouraging employees to take the course. Attendance history is automatically linked and centrally managed in the LMS “CAREERSHIP,” and regular reports are also generated by Lightworks, making it possible to visualize potential risks, such as organizations with low attendance rates. This report can also be used in internal control reports, leading to more efficient learning management operations.
